Balkan folk-dance music for dancing and listening: Great rhythms, great energy!

Friday, Feb. 10th from 8-10pm at the Bangs Community Center in Amherst, MA

Dunya will be performing live music for the Amherst International Dance group on

Friday, Feb. 10th at the Bangs Community Center in Amherst, MA

There will be dancing from 7:30 to 10pm, with live music from 8:15 to about 9:30pm.

We play music from the Balkans, with an emphasis on Bulgarian and Macedonian music. Three of us attended a seminar in Plovdiv, Bulgaria last summer, where we studied our instruments with Bulgarian masters of folk music. We bring several of our tunes from the seminar to our performances.
